Hardik Pandya Shares Emotional Memory of Gifting his Dad Jeep Compass

Cricketer Hardik Pandya has recently shared a tweet, which shows how he surprised his dad by gifting him Jeep Compass.

Hardik Pandya is among the youngest and most successful cricket players in our country. He is one of the strongest cricket players in the team. He is also known around the country for owning some exotic machines like Mercedes-AMG G63, Lamborghini Huracan EVO, Land Rover Range Rover, Audi A6 and much more. Recently, Hardik Pandya shared a heart-warming video of his dad taking surprise delivery of the Jeep Compass. His father Himanshu Pandya died last month at the age of 71 due to cardiac arrest. This video has been shared by Hardik on Instagram and Twitter.

In this video, one can see Himanshu Pandya observing the Jeep Compass. He says that he really likes the colour, but looks a bit unsure. Afterwards, Hardik breaks the news that this is his car over the video call. In the tweet, he said, “Knowing you are not here makes me cry! But seeing you smile like a kid who got his candy makes me smile and remember you with so much joy! Love you dad”

The Jeep Compass you see in this video is the previous-gen model. This is the limited 4X2 trim of the SUV. The Jeep Compass you see here is now discontinued by the carmaker and has been replaced by a new-gen model. Last month, Jeep launched the new facelift model of Compass. The new model of the SUV gets an updated exterior and interior. Moreover, it also gets some newly added features.

Mechanically, it derives power from a 2.0-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The former develops 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque, while the latter is capable of shredding out power and torque outputs of 163 PS and 250 Nm. The diesel engine comes paired with a 6-speed MT or a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, while petrol mill comes mated to a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT. It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
