Here's a new rendering video where the roof of the 2020 Hyundai Verna has been removed to make it look sportier and classier

A few weeks ago, Hyundai Motor India launched the 2020 Verna facelift. The new model features a fresh styling package, new features and three new BS6-compliant engines available with varying gearbox options. Hyundai launched the third-gen Verna back in 2017. The C2-segment sedan is quite popular among the modifiers because of its sharp and aggressive looks. Today, we’ve got a digital rendering of a convertible variant of the new Verna.

Looks are subjective, but in our personal opinion, Hyundai Verna is the chicest sedan in its segment and giving it a foldable roof treatment makes it look more appealing and magnetizing. This rendering is uploaded by a YouTube channel named NIK’S AUTOMOTIVE. The designer has made a few styling changes like the addition of a new set of alloy wheels which looks quite sporty. He has also removed the roof and adds a few decals on the doors. Except for these changes, the car looks similar to the ongoing model. The convertible Hyundai Verna has some resemblance with the luxurious Audi A3.

Talking about the 2020 facelifted model, the updated sedan gets revised bumpers, wide front grille, new headlight styling and a different set of alloy wheels. Moreover, the rear profile of the sedan features LED taillamps. A few changes have been also made inside the cabin, like the addition of a new touchscreen infotainment system, slightly different steering wheel and a fully digital instrument cluster. The cabin of the car is more upmarket compared to earlier.

Mechanically, the updated model is powered by BS6-compliant 1.5-litre petrol and diesel motors along with a more potent 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT, CVT and a 7-speed DCT options, based on the engine combination you choose. It rubs shoulders with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Skoda Rapid and VW Vento.
