Here is a Kia Sonet kitted out with official accessories that seem to have been inspired from the Kia Seltos X Line concept seen earlier

Kia has hammered the nail hard when it comes to the design. First, the Seltos received a warm response for its looks, and the story now continues with the Sonet as well. Both critics and customers are loving the way Sonet looks. But there a few, who would want it to look a little more bold and loud. To address their demands, Kia will be offering a slew of accessories for the Sonet, and not everything will be finished in chrome. Moreover, some of these accessories are inspired by the Seltos X-Line Concept, which was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo earlier this year. Here’s a video from the Indian Auto News’ YouTube channel, which showcases a Kia Sonet with all of these accessories.

The car in the video is the GTX+ trim of the Sonet. While it already comes with all the bells and whistles, the accessories do accentuate its overall appeal. On the front, it gets chrome surrounds for the headlamps along with piano-black bumper protectors. Also, there are faux air scoops mounted on the bonnet, like the Seltos X-Line Concept. On the sides, it gets chrome-finished appliques for the door handles and ORVM caps.

It also gets door visors, faux air vents for the fenders, a chrome-finished protector for the doors, and side steps. For the rear facet, Kia is offering chrome trimmings for the tail lamps and reflectors. Also, a silver garnish is available for the number plate housing. Like the front, piano-black finish bumper protectors can be had for the rear bumper. Talking of the prices, these accessories are fairly affordable.

The Sonet is offered with 3 engine options – 1.2L Kappa petrol, 1.0L turbo-petrol, and 1.5L diesel. The 1.2L Kappa petrol unit is tuned to belt out 83 PS against 113 Nm and comes mated to a 5-speed MT. The 1.0L turbo-petrol motor, it is good at propelling 120 PS of peak power and 172 Nm of max torque. It is offered with 2 transmission options – 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT. The 1.5L oil burner, however, is capable of developing 115 PS and 250 Nm, and it can be had with either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT.
