Buying a car carries an aspirational value in the Indian market. This statement holds its true in almost every scenario when an Indian is buying a car. For some, purchasing an entry-level hatchback is a moment of pride, whereas, for a few, it is when buying an expensive registration plate for their Jeep Wrangler. Recently, a young entrepreneur from Kerala – Dr Praveen purchased a Jeep Wrangler. However, the interesting part of this purchase was the price that Dr Praveen paid to get a custom registration number for his Jeep Wrangler. Dr Praveen opted for ‘KL-09-BW-0001’ number. To get this registration number, the Jeep owner had to participate in an auction and win the same with a final bid of Rs. 6.25 lakh.
