Maruti Vitara Brezza Converted Into Camper Van

The Maruti Vitara Brezza finally brought widespread success to the Vitara nameplate in the Indian auto market. Marketed as a premium SUV competing against the likes of the Honda CR-V, the previous two iterations of the Maruti Grand Vitara failed to sell well. The Indian consumer didn’t look at Maruti as a brand for premium vehicles, which is why it failed to garner any interest. For the Vitara Brezza, India’s largest automaker played to its strengths. The current model was one of the first Compact SUVs when it launched in 2016 and has been chalking up very good sales numbers ever since. It may be out of the spotlight currently due to the recent launches of the Nissan Magnite and Kia Sonet, but it still remains probably the best all-round vehicle in the segment.

In the video that has been uploaded by Born To Ride on YouTube, we see a brand new Maruti Vitara Brezza going to the Karol Bagh aftermarket to get some upgrades fitted to it. The first step is a proper teardown of the car with every panel that’s getting an upgrade taken down. After a short cinematic segment, the video picks up after all the work has been completed. On the exterior, the Vitara Brezza gets new LED headlamps with DRLs and projector fog lamps. It also gets new LED reflector lights on the rear. Over to the interior, the Vitara Brezza gets all-black leather wrapping everywhere including the roof panel and the rear parcel tray. It also gets ambient lighting to brighten up the interiors while the boot gets extra lighting to help with luggage when it’s dark. Overall it does make the base Vitara Brezza look much more like a higher-spec trim than before, which means it is an aftermarket job well done then. 

The Maruti Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre 4 cylinder petrol which makes peak power and torque figures of 105 PS/138 Nm respectively. You can pair it with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Prices for the Vitara Brezza start from Rs 7.34 lakh for the base LXI trim and goes up to Rs 11.40 lakh for the ZXI+ auto.
