Ever wondered, how capable is the Maruti Vitara Brezza? Well, here's a video that showcases this FWD compact SUV's capabilities.

Maruti Vitara Brezza was launched in the country in the year 2016. It is one of the best-selling sub-4m compact-SUVs of the country. Until the arrival of the newer products in its segment, the Vitara Brezza managed to hold the top spot on the sales charts. Well, it now feels dated and misses out on a diesel engine even as an option. Thus, it is now becoming a tough job for the Vitara Brezza to score the highest figure on the sales tally. Nevertheless, it is a capable SUV, and to prove our point, here’s a video that we came across on the YouTube channel of India Sonic.

In the video, the host showcases a slew of clips where the Vitara Brezza can be seen excelling in tough situations. The video starts with the Vitara Brezza’s off-roading capabilities. While it is an FWD car, it manages to overcome a lot of tricky obstacles with its massive ground clearance and sufficient grunt. In the next clip, the Vitara Brezza can be seen going up a muddy incline with ease. Also, it crosses deep waters and traverses dunes without breaking a sweat.

Moving on, the Vitara Brezza can be seen making its way through snowy patches of road and being raced by Maruti Suzuki in the Desert Strom rally. The editor has also added videos where it is towing a tractor. Well, these clips are apt at showcasing the utilitarian side of the Vitara Brezza. To put its power output in the picture, the host has used a video where the Vitara Brezza drag-races against the last-gen Creta and pre-facelift Tata Nexon. Yes! It wins against both cars.

Sadly, the video comprises of Vitara Brezza’s pre-facelift iteration, which came with a 1.3L diesel engine that produced 90 PS of peak power and 200 Nm of max torque. It was offered with two transmission options – 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT. Currently, Maruti offers the facelifted Vitara Brezza with a 1.5L petrol motor only. It can push out a peak power output of 105 PS and max torque of 138 Nm, and it comes mated to either a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT.
