Here are a few images of a tuned Maruti WagonR, which employs a lot of aftermarket customizations to become trail-ready.

Maruti WagonR is one of the most popular hatchbacks offered by the carmaker in the Indian market. It is known among the buyers for its spacious cabin and reliable powertrain. In its segment, it rivals the likes of Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago. People around the country buy the Maruti hatchback for everyday commutes. It is also quite popular among the modifiers as they like to customize it, to make it look unique and eye-catching. Here are a few images of an example of Maruti WagonR, which has been customized to tackle some off-road trails.

The Maruti WagonR you see here is the previous-gen model of the hatchback. The front grille of the car has been replaced by an aftermarket unit. The modifier has also increased the approach angle of the hatchback by trimming the regular bumper. On the front, there aftermarket auxiliary lights fitted for off-roading now, which also come with light covers. On the sides, the wheel arches have been chopped off a little to accommodate bigger dual-purpose tyres. Moreover, the modifier has ditched the regular roof rails with crossbars to carry light luggage. The rear fascia of the car gets an aftermarket exhaust muffler and a towing hook.

Other than this no modifications have been done to the car. All these customizations have made the Maruti WagonR look rugged. Talking about the Maruti hatchback, it gets propelled by a 1.2-litre four-pot petrol motor, which develops power and torque outputs of 83 PS and 113 Nm. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. It also derives power from a 1.0-litre CNG unit, which is capable of shredding out power and torque outputs of 58 Php and 78Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT here. It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 4.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 6.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-end variant.
