While a Maruti S-Presso is an entry-level hatchback, here's a modified version that tries to look like a Maruti Vitara Brezza
India’s biggest carmaker Maruti Suzuki launched its entry-level tall boy hatchback S-Presso in our market last year. In its segment, it rivals with the likes of Renault Kwid and Datsun Redi-GO. In just one year, Maruti has retailed around 75,000 units of S-Presso in our market. Buyers around the country modify the Maruti hatchback to make it look more striking. Here’s one such modified Maruti S-Presso, which employs a few aftermarket equipments.
Talking about the customizations, this Maruti S-Presso employs wheel arches along with two-tone door cladding to give the tall boy hatchback a rugged look. It gets dual-tone alloy wheel like wheel covers. The hatchback also employs door visors to prevent dust and rainwater from getting inside the cabin of the car. The hatchback looks quite sporty as it now features blacked-out A- and B-pillars.
To give it floating roof treatment, the C-pillar of this Maruti S-Presso gets Vitara Brezza like treatment. Other than this, no customizations have been done of the car. The overall cost of this modification is not known, but it seems to be quite affordable. These subtle customizations have enhanced the overall stance of the hatchback.
Talking about Maruti S-Presso, it derives power from a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder gasoline engine, which puts out 67bhp of peak power and 90 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed MT or an AMT. The 1.0-litre mill is also offered with a CNG kit, which develops power and torque outputs of 58bhp and 78 Nm. It comes coupled to a 5-speed MT. Inside, the Maruti S-Presso comes loaded with features like a touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a fully digital instrument console, front power windows, steering mounted controls and so on. It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 3.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 5.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.
