Take a look at this portable makeshift bed that can be easily deployed inside a Maruti Swift.

Travelling to lesser-known places has a challenge packed in. It is the task of finding a cosy accommodation. At times, travellers end up failing at finding one. In such a case, spending the night inside a car comes up as the only option. Well, sleeping inside an SUV or an MPV is still a comfortable affair, but exercising the same in a hatchback is gruesome. However, here’s a YouTube video from the channel of Feel The Life, wherein the host showcases a portable setup that transforms into a bed inside his Maruti Swift. Sounds exciting, isn’t it? Yes! It for sure does.

It can be seen in the video that the host has made a bed with the use of two different plyboards that are fitted with legs, locks and hinges to hold them in place. To set up the bed in his Maruti Swift, he first folds down the backrest of second-row seats and then moves the front-row seats closer to the dashboard. Then, he fits in the two plyboards inside his Swift and joins them with the help of hinges. Following which, he puts in a mattress on the boards along with a bedsheet. While the process looks tedious initially, the final result is interesting.

The host then gets inside his Maruti Swift and shows how comfortably he can lie down on this makeshift bed. Sadly, using this makeshift bed is only a viable option when there’s no luggage inside the car. Moreover, only two people can rest on this bed. But, as a temporary option or for single-night camping, it comes up as a great substitute for a tent.
