While the Renault Kwid is available only with solid and metallic paint options, here's a modified Renault Kwid done up by an authorized showroom
If you want to know a car that’s been a real game-changer in India, we would call out the Renault Kwid. We know that the Renault Kwid is among the most popular entry-level crossover hatchback that’s brought in quite a success story for the French automaker in the complex Indian auto space. Putting aside the resounding popularity of the Kwid in the new car department, IndianAuto is talking about a modified Renault Kwid that looks even more dashing and brilliant than the original one. Gone are the days when the car buyers didn’t like to break the convention, we’ve seen many examples of a modified Kwid car in India and this is certainly among the finest ones around.
This customized Renault Kwid is not from any private car modification workshop but Renault's dealership itself. It is being sold by a Renault dealer based out in Bassonia, South Africa. Pictures of the modified Renault Kwid have been uploaded on the brand’s official Facebook fan page that fully shows how glorious the car is.
The most outstanding customization job of the modified Kwid is a matte blue colour scheme on its bodywork that gives away a contrasting visual effect with black treatment on the grille, logos, pillars, roof and wing mirrors. The aftermarket alloy wheels look pretty cool with bigger tyres but the biggest highlight here is the custom large-holding fabric sunroof, adding to the premium quotient of the vehicle.
If you want to add more jazz to the modified Renault Kwid, it can be ordered with a custom exhaust. Other than that, the entire boot space of the Kwid has been equipped with a Rockford Fosgate audio components.
As for the regular Kwid, the India-spec car gets a slew of top-notch features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, front USB charger, a reverse parking camera, LED tail lamps and DRLs, et al.
The Renault Kwid is on sale with two different three-cylinder petrol engines, which include a 0.8-litre engine making 54 PS of power/60 Nm of torque for the entry-level variants along with a larger 1.0-litre motor producing 68 PS and 91 Nm for the higher-spec models. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard while the bigger one even gets an AMT as an option.
