Recently, Tata has released a new commercial video for the new Tata Safari to appeal to the adventure-seekers. Check it out.
We all miss the Tata Safari! It is undeniable that the Tata Safari has been Tata’s iconic SUV that won the hearts and minds of many auto enthusiasts. After several years of discontinuation, Tata resurrected the Safari nameplate that will come in the form of the three-row Harrier SUV previously christened as Tata Gravitas. Recently, Tata has released a new commercial video for the new Tata Safari, expressing the “Reclaim Your Life” tagline to appeal to the adventure-seekers with the Safari being the companion.
While Tata has already unveiled the new Safari to the Indian auto enthusiasts, the question is, does the new Safari really live up to its name Based on the Tata H7X concept, the new Tata Safari 2021 will become a new flagship SUV from the home-grown company. Previously, the flagship Tata car was called Buzzard and then Gravitas before officially getting the Safari nameplate. Set to be launched on January 26, 2021, the new Tata Safari will be available with four trims – namely XE, XM, XT and XZ. It will be offered with either captain seats or the bench-type seats for the second row. Powering the new Tata Safari will be a 2.0-litre Fiat-sourced turbo-diesel engine that churns out 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT option.
The new Tata Safari will share the same platform with its five-seater twin, Tata Harrier. Although the carmaker said this platform will support an electric powertrain and an AWD system, we do expect the Safari to come as a front-wheel-drive SUV from the word go. For the prices, the new Tata Safari will likely go on sale with a premium over the Harrier which is available in between Rs 13.84 – 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). What do you think about the new Tata Safari? Kindly let us know.
