Nissan Magnite is an attractive looking subcompact SUV. But what will it look like if there was a more powerful and focused Sport variant? This render gives a good idea of what it may look like.

The Nissan Magnite is the latest offering from the Japanese automaker, and it enters the fast-growing and competitive subcompact SUV segment. For a short while, it was the cheapest offering in its segment in India with a sub-Rs 5 lakh introductory price tag. Though that price has since been hiked, it still remains one of the most value-for-money subcompact SUVs in the country. The Magnite has an attractive and bold design, but what will a Sports Edition of the SUV look like? Today we this render which answers that question.

The video of this Nissan Magnite Sports Edition render has been uploaded by frequent IndianAuto collaborator SRK Designs. The Sports Edition gets a black and white dual-tone paint job with custom decals on the side profile. The front-end gets a dechromed grille with red highlights, new vertical LED DRLs on the bumper and red highlighting on the front faux skid plate. The side profile, aside from the aforementioned decals, gets red highlights on the ORVMs and lower doors. The stock alloys have been binned for a set of Nissan GT-R six-spoke dished alloys, here finished in gold. Overall, this render looks pretty realistic except for the wheels, and we can hope Nissan someday actually produces one of these.

The Nissan Magnite comes with a single 1-litre engine but in two states of tune. In naturally aspirated form, the engine makes 72 PS and 96 Nm of peak power and torque. If you opt for the turbocharged version then the unit makes peak power and torque 100 PS and 160 Nm, respectively. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a CVT auto.
