Old Ford Figo (ZERO-star NCAP) Turns Turtle Five Times, Keeps Everyone SAFE

Ford Figo is one of the most dynamically-capable hatchbacks in its segment. It rivals with the likes of Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. The ongoing model of the car has scored a 4-star rating at the NCAP crash test. The old car, however, sold a '0' star rating at the NCAP test bed. A reason for this was lack of front airbags. This clearly shows that while the current model of the car offers good safety, the earlier model wasn't all that safe. That said, here are a few images, which show the strong and sturdy built quality of the first-gen Figo after a big accident. 

When the accident happened, this Ford Figo was travelling in the ghats of the Sahyadri Range. The owner of the car was travelling with his family and was maintaining a decent speed. But, due to some unknown reasons, the driver lost control and the hatchback rolled over five times. The crash seems quite huge andthe road at which this accident has happened has some sharp and blind turns. The interesting part is that all the passengers sitting inside the car were able to escape safely with some minor bruises and scratches.

The car has been completely smashed. Moreover, alloy wheels of the car have twisted and tyres have burst. The roof and pillars of the car have also crushed along with bumpers and bonnet. The car will be put under total loss and then the owner can claim full insurance. The owner of the Figo is quite impressed by the built quality of the car. And this the first-gen model of the car, the ongoing version of the hatchback employs more safety features. Ford Figo is the most affordable car in its segment. Moreover, it’s also the only car in its segment to be offered with six airbags.
