Other than the Rapid hatchback, there is another anticipated vehicle in the list of upcoming Skoda cars at Auto Expo 2020; Skoda Karoq. The vehicle has been snapped a few times while being tested on the Indian roads. Skoda has confirmed that they will import the SUV in India via the CBU (Completely Built Up) route, which simply means that heavy taxes and duties will be levied on the SUV. The car is expected to offer features like a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, powered front seats, and much more. Mechanically, Skoda Karoq will extract power from a 1.5-litre, turbo petrol motor. Transmission duties will be done by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Initially, the carmaker had no plans to launch the SUV with a diesel powertrain in India, but there are reports surfacing that the Czech manufacturer is considering an oil-burner for Karoq in the near future.
