Tata Nexon is among the most popular SUVs in its segment. It competes with the likes of Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport. The compact SUV is offered in both petrol and diesel variants, and both the powertrain options produce plenty of power and torque. However, overtaking still needs attention, no matter how potent the car is that you are driving.

Here’s a recent video, which shows an overtaking move gone wrong and this incident involves a Tata Nexon that tries to drag a fast move but ends up spinning 180 degrees and crashing. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera nearby. The video is uploaded by a YouTube Channel named Toughluckk dotcom. It shows the Tata Nexon first overtakes a car in a rash move and then a Maruti 800 can be seen coming from the other side. The Nexon driver appears to clip something while overtaking, and once this happens, the car goes out of control and turns a full 180 degrees, closely missing a large pillar and a parked Alto. This could have turned out to be very bad for the Nexon drivers and other oncoming vehicles.

You must be very careful while driving on roads, as one wrong move could turn out to be tragic. Here are a few tips one should keep in mind while overtaking.
1) Always make sure that while overtaking that there’s enough space at the front, especially on the roads that don’t have a clear separator or divider.
2) The second point is having ample time on hand for the overtaking manoeuvre. Shortage of time means a big risk to collide with a car or a bike arriving from the opposite direction.
3) The last point is visibility. If you are not able to see far enough for a safe overtaking manoeuvre then don’t overtake. Many of the people ignore this simple but critical factor while overtaking. Always try to prevent a blind overtake.
