Tata Nexon: Guide For Detailing your Car Like Pro At Home

Car ownership is an enjoyable process. Every day is a new venture with new places and experiences. However, with every passing day, the car’s exterior loses out on its shine as it deals with a lot of pollutants, such as road dust, smoke, mud and more. Therefore, to keep the car in its pristine condition, it requires some TLC. Most people often go to high-end ceramic coating workshops to get the job done right. But a car can also be detailed at home unless you don’t need a paint correction job to be performed on your car. Here’s a video from the YouTube channel of Wrap Story, where the host cleans his Tata Nexon and reveals the complete detailing process. The video starts by cleaning the rims and the tyres first.

Interestingly, this Tata Nexon sits on the alloys wheels of the facelifted model. The owner cleans them with Armor Extreme wheel & tyre cleaner first, then uses Sonax wheel cleaner to remove the brake dust. Also, purpose-specific brushes were used during the process. In the next step, the owner uses 3M car shampoo on his Tata Nexon. He shampoos the car using Bosch Aquatek 100 pressure wash. The results look amazing in the video as the pressure washer foams up the car.

The shampoo is then scrubbed using a multi-fibre cloth. After which, the car is washed using the pressure washer, and the left-off water droplets are wiped off using a multi-fibre cloth. It is now, the owner uses Shine Armor after-wash sealant to preserve the shine and create a thin protective layer on the Nexon. While the metal parts are detailed with this spray, Mr Magik dashboard shiner is used to detail the plastic parts and tyres. A simple note here, spray the detailer only on the sidewalls of the tyres and not on the contact patch.

Once the process is finished, the Nexon in the video can be seen shining bright in its full glory. Performing a simple detailing job on a car takes hardly an hour. But, doing so, one should note that the car’s body should never be scrubbed without washing it with the water first. As the dust will get clogged on the cleaning rag and will leave scratches and swirl marks on the car’s body.
