Modified Maruti S Cross can generate a top power of 200 Bhp. See all modifications that contribute to this impressive performance.
Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the diesel S Cross and temporarily stopped selling the crossover in the market. However, this crossover will return to the market soon with a petrol engine which complies with the BSVI emission norms. The new 1.5-litre K15B engine for the S-Cross is capable of making a top power of 105 PS and a maximum torque of 138 Nm as against 90PS/200Nm of the discontinued 1.3-litre diesel engine. Today, however, our focus is on a modified Maruti S-Cross which makes a maximum power of 200 hp, which makes it more than twice more powerful than the stock version of the recently discontinued model.
The modified Maruti S Cross in question here is an old model powered by a 1.6-litre diesel engine, which was axed a couple of years ago. The diesel engine originally generates a top power of 118 Bhp and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. After receiving modifications, the Maruti S Cross is now capable of unleashing a maximum power of 200 HP and 430 Nm, making this car even more powerful than various mid-size SUVs in the market.
In order to deliver such impressive power specifications, the Maruti S Cross was given a State 3 WolfMotor Performance ECU Tune, Garrett Turbocharger replacement as well as Intercooler upgrade. In addition, this crossover also receives custom re-routed air intake System and a Blackworatks De-Cat SS304 Downpipe and a Borla ProXS Muffler. Apart from the increased power output, the Marut S Cross also sees a boost in acceleration. This crossover can run from 0 to 100 kmpl in just 6.7 seconds.
Exterior-wise, there aren’t major updates that you might expect from a modified model. The tuned Maruti S Cross looks mostly identical to the stock version. The exterior modifications are limited to the new smoked headlamps, 17-inch Project D Rim, 225/50/17 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres and 20mm rear wheel spacers. Additionally, the chrome insert across the body have been removed entirely.
After being modified, Maruti S Cross can generate up to 200 Bhp
On the inside, to enhance the driving experience, Maruti S Cross has been added with a new auto-meter boost and pyrometer gauges. In terms of the safety, along with the standard safety features provided on the stock version, the customized crossover is now equipped with EBC Greenstuff brake pads that ensure better braking. The launch of the BSVI Maruti S Cross is expected to take place in the coming weeks. The crossover will continue to take on the likes of Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur.
