Upcoming Mahindra XUV500 Snapped at 150kmph

The new-gen Mahindra XUV500 will derive power from a petrol and diesel engine. It will rub shoulders with the likes of MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari.

Last year, Mahindra & Mahindra launched the new-gen Thar in India, and it got extremely popular among the buyers around the country. Now, the automaker is working on the new-gen Mahindra XUV500 and Scorpio. It is expected to launch in Indian market by the upcoming festive season. The 2021 Mahindra XUV500 has been spied a lot of times while getting tested on the roads. Here’s a recent video, where the Mahindra XUV500 can be seen testing on the highway at 150kmph.

This video has been uploaded by a YouTube channel named as AutoHunters India. The video shows the all-new Mahindra XUV500 going via high-speed test on the Mumbai-Pune highway. This video also shows the high-speed capabilities of the SUV. We guess that the carmaker is testing the high-speed stability of the car on public highways. There are a lot of spy images and videos of the new-gen XUV500 being tested in different parts of India. The SUV has also been tested in cold weather conditions in the Himalayan ranges. With the news spy video, one can expect the SUV to launch in the Indian market in the coming months. The new-gen Mahindra XUV500 will be bigger than the outgoing model. Outside, it will get an aggressive-looking grille, LED DRLs, roof rails, flush-type door handles, five-spoke alloy units and much more. The all-new model of the SUV will be powered by both petrol and diesel engine.

It will get propelled by a 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol mill and 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel unit. The former will produce 190 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque, while the latter is capable of shredding out power and torque outputs of 185 PS and 380 Nm. Transmission duties will be done by a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Once launched, it will rival with the likes of new-gen Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. Moreover, the SUV is also expected to come loaded with a lot of advanced features like ADAD (Advanced Driving Assistance System).
