The first of the upcoming Volvo cars in India in 2019-2020 is the Volvo V60 Cross Country. It is the slightly tweaked version of the V60. As regards the exterior design, the former comes with the same grille as the latter which is flanked by the same LED headlights. The front bumper is also carried over from the V60 with wide air dams carved into the front plastic. In the rear, the V60 Cross Country gets the same tail lamps and exhaust pipes as the standard V60 model. The only noticeable alteration on the exterior of the V60 Cross Country is the charcoal plastic wheel arches.

In terms of the interior, the Cross Country bears a strong resemblance to the standard model. It is equipped with an easy-to-use touchscreen console. The adjustable driving wheel and the comfortable front seats make it extremely easy to find a suitable driving position.

The car receives its power from a 2.0-litre twin-turbo D4 oil burner with an impressive power of 187 BHP and is coupled with an 8-speed AT unit. A 247 BHP 2.0-litre T5 gasoline burner will be introduced at a later time. The Cross Country also comes with an FWD system and hill mode descent control, which increases its off-road capabilities to such a great extent. This is also another factor which helps distinguish the Cross Country from its donor vehicle.

The 2019 Volvo V60 Cross Country is essentially a Volvo V60 with some alterations.

Whereas the regular V60 directly competes against the Audi A4 Estate, the BMW 3 Series Estate and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate, the V60 Cross Country has only one direct rival, the Audi A4 Allroad. Expectedly priced at around INR 45.0 lakh, the Volvo S60 Cross Country has great potentialities to become a popular SUV with the Indian auto buyers.

The second of the upcoming Volvo cars in India in 2019-2020 is the new S60. Despite being underpinned by the same platform as its 7-seater sibling, the XC90, the 2019 Volvo S60 provides the customers with much more. Firstly, the vehicle keeps under its hood only a petrol motor with hybrid options, which could attract some customers. Volvo is currently offering the S60 in four variants in the UK with only a 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol motor. This motor can produce 190 BHP and 250 BHP for the T4 and T5 variants, respectively and is coupled with AT and an FWD system. In the meanwhile, this motor can generate 306 BHP and come with an AWD system on the T6 variant. Finally, a combination of petrol and plug-in-hybrid motors can deliver 400 BHP for the T8 variant. Which variants will be launched in India remains unknown but the T4 and T5 models are the most expected.

The 2019 Volvo S60 is available with a petrol motor along with a hybrid option.
