Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Originally Owned By MS Dhoni Now On Sale

Mitsubishi, over the last decade or so, has seen its popularity drop globally very rapidly. To cut losses, Mitsubishi is discontinuing one of its all-time great models, the Pajero. A formidable 4x4, the Pajero has been one of the most famous off-roaders in the last 30 years. It has won the world’s toughest rally, the Dakar 12 times which proved its capabilities to the viewers and rivals alike. In India, the Pajero was first launched in 2002, quickly becoming a cult favourite in the Indian off-roading and lifestyle community. In 2012, the Pajero Sport was launched in India as a successor to the SFX model. Today, we have a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport that's on sale online and was originally owned by none other than MS Dhoni. 

The pictures and ad has been posted at Preowned Luxury Cars For Sale group on Facebook, in which we can see this Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is the limited Anniversary Edition model. The Anniversary Edition was launched in 2013 to commemorate one year of the Pajero Sport being on sale and came with added features and creature comforts. But the biggest USP of this particular model has to be that it was owned by MS Dhoni. This directly increases the price of this Pajero Sport as it has had a legendary owner and also comes with MS Dhoni’s iconic number 7 on the number plate.  The ad has been posted by its second owner, while the SUV has clocked over 1 lakh kms to date. It has a fully detailed service history and from the pictures, looks to be kept in pristine condition. The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has been discontinued from the Indian market. When on sale, its prices ranged from Rs 23.91 lakh – Rs 30 lakh, ex-showroom. The 4x4 is powered by a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel motor which churns out 180 PS of peak power and 400 Nm of max torque. The oil-burner could be mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic gearbox.
