Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the biggest competitor in the segment of compact sedans in India. Maruti Suzuki Dzire offers exciting performance

Even though the diesel Amaze has a higher power in output, it turns out to be less lively than the Dzire which offers a more responsive and exciting drive. The Dzire is more responsive at the higher speed.

When it comes to the acceleration, the Amaze is still the better performer. It could run from 0-100kmph in 12.6 seconds, whereas the Dzire takes 13.36 seconds. Honda Amaze also features a high mileage of 21.18kmpl, while the Dzire’s mileage is 19.71kmpl.

Honda Amaze is more mature and relaxed when driving

Overall, the Amaze is tuned for a more exciting and dynamic drive whereas the Amaze feels more mature and relaxed.

Ride and handling

As the Amaze has a soft suspension setting, it offers a smoother and better ride quality. However, it comes at the expense of reliable handling. On the other hand, the suspension of the Dzire is on the stiffer side, which means that it behaves more stable at high speed and perform more confident cornering.

The Dzire could handle bumps and potholes quite well, but bigger potholes still send the bouncy feelings to the cabin.

With braking responsiveness, the Amaze is clearly better. But the Amaze’s steering is heavier, making it harder to squeeze into a tight parking spot.
