In comparison, the Maruti Ciaz is rather flexible when offering both petrol and diesel derivatives. The petrol ones receive the power via the 1.4-litre, K-Series engine which can produce 91 bhp and 130 Nm of peak torque. It will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. One more option is a 4-speed automatic offered in all except for the base variant. 

The diesel variants come with a 1.3-litre DDiS unit which is the Fiat sourced oil-burner. It can churn out 8 8bhp as well as 200 Nm of peak torque.
