Hyundai has officially unveiled the videos of the interior and safety features offered with the new-gen i20. The premium hatchback now employs a host of segment-first features.

Recently, Hyundai has shared some new videos of the new-gen 2020 i20 showcasing the interior and safety features of the new vehicle. The all-new premium hatchback will be more feature-loaded as compared to the second-gen model. Here, the first video is about the touchscreen infotainment system and sound system of the all-new i20. The new-gen premium hatchback sports a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is also the largest unit in the segment. The new infotainment system has been seamlessly joined with the instrument console, which is also 10.25-inch in size.

The new infotainment system is a sleek panel fixed on the top of the dashboard, so it can be easily viewed by everyone. The 10.25-inch infotainment system offered with the 2020 Hyundai i20 comes loaded with features like wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite navigation along with a wide range of connected car solutions, which consists of Hyundai Live Services, Blue Link app services and cloud-based natural language voice recognition. Moreover, Hyundai will also offer the all-new i20 with Bose sound system, including eight speakers and a sub-woofer. The addition of this high-end sound system will be an optional fitment.

Moving towards the second video, this video is about all the advanced safety features offered with the all-new model. The hatchback will feature Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), which recognizes pedestrians and cyclists near the vehicle. The car driver will get an alert in case of an expected collision. If there’s no response from the driver, the FCA system will apply brakes by itself. Another cool feature is the Leading Vehicle Departure Assist (LDVA). The LADV will send alerts to the driver when the stopped vehicle upfront starts moving.

The launch of the new-gen i20 is expected to take place later this year. Of course, not all of the above features will make it to us but what's for sure is that the new model will be a definite upgade over the current version in almost every aspect.
