Nissan is about to launch Nissan Kicks facelift in the US market. Recently, Nissan has dropped a new teaser for the upcoming model.

Nissan was first launched on the global market in 2017. One year later, Nissan Kicks first entered the United States in 2018 as a replacement for the old Juke. Indian launch followed the next year. For now, the US-spec Kick is getting ready for the new upgrade, which is confirmed to be rolled out on December 8. Ahead of the US launch, Nissan has released a new teaser for the upcoming 2021 Nissan Kicks facelift. According to the latest teaser, there will be major updates on the front of the facelifted Kicks.

As for the US market, the upcoming Kicks is expected to come with significant cosmetic updates. For example, it is revealed that the new Kicks will adopt the larger and more dominant V-Motion grille. Thanks to the new grille, the front end of the new Nissan Kicks will look significantly different from the outgoing model.

Another highlight of the new teaser is the pair of thinner headlights located on two ends of the grille. The teaser also reveals the heavily sculptured bonnet, which adds to the bold styling of the new Kicks. Since it is only a facelift, it is likely that the rest of the design, including the side profile and the rear end, will remain mostly unchanged. Our best guess is that the rear end will get restyled taillights. As for the interior, keeping up with the market trends, Nissan is likely to provide the new Kicks with a revised infotainment system with a larger touchscreen display.

Earlier this year, Nissan Kicks was launched in Thailand. There, the new Kicks arrived under the hybrid form. Thai-spec model receives what is called e-Power system. With this system, the front wheel is powered by an electric motor that sources power from a 1.57 lithium-ion battery pack. What’s interesting is that the small petrol engine will be used to charge the battery pack. However, it is unlikely that the US-spec Kicks will get a similar technology.

Nissan Kicks sold in our market is built differently from the international-spec model. To be specific, the India-bound model is developed on the BO platform instead of the V platform like the international model. It is unlikely that Nissan will bring the Nissan Kicks facelift to the Indian market anytime soon.

In the meanwhile, Nissan has just launched the Nissan Magnite at the starting prices of Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This sub-four-meter SUV has officially entered the race against Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and more.
