According to BMW’s report issued after some technical investigations, the problems on the EGR valves are mostly on four-cylinder and six-cylinder diesel engines. The faulty component could lead to the fire danger in the powerhouse and higher emissions level exhausted from the diesel engine. The defective EGR could create a layer of soot deposits and high temperature can easily cause the melting of the intake that is very dangerous in some cases.

All the service fees are confirmed to be free on every model. The repairing work will last in around 1-3 hours.
