Sharing the all-new CLAR platform from BMW with the current 7 Series, the new X4 will vary a lot from the earlier generation model in terms of dimensions. BMW X4 Specifications

Once launched in India, the BMW X4 will be available in two engine options: the X4 xDrive30i and the xDrive30d. While the former adopts a 2.0L four cylinders petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 252 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm, the latter utilizes a 3.0L diesel motor with six cylinders that is good for 265 hp and 620 Nm. The petrol and diesel engine variants can sprint from 0 to 100 kph in 6.3 seconds and 5.8 seconds, respectively. The power is sent to the four wheels through an 8-speed AT gearbox.

All X4 variants are offered with an M Sport suspension as standard. The xDrive four-wheel-drive system will function in line with a Performance Control function, offering torque vectoring. Moreover, the BMW’s Driving Experience Control system is expected to provide the driver with different driving modes: Eco-Pro, Comfort and Sport. BMW will also equip both of the two motor options with launch control as standard.
