Honda has finally launched the Jazz with the BS-6 compliant motor in the country today. Prices for the Jazz start at Rs. 7.49 lakh and tops out at Rs. 9.73 Lakh. The premium hatchback will be sold in a total of 3 trim options, namely V, VX, and ZX. In the BS-6 regime, it will only be offered with a petrol engine. The 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated motor will belt out 90 PS of peak power and 110 Nm of max torque. The transmission options will include a 5-speed MT and a CVT. Talking of the fuel efficiency figures, the ARAI claimed mileage for manual and automatic variants stand at 16.6 kmpl and 17.7 kmpl, respectively.
Honda Jazz continues to rival the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Baleno, and Tata Altroz. With this update, Honda has not changed a lot on the Jazz. A simple nip and tuck job is what it gets. It continues to adorn the same silhouette, but with certain cosmetic updates. Starting from the front facet, it now sports a resculpted bumper with redesigned fog lamp housing. Also, the fog lamps are now rectangular in shape while the earlier model sported circular units.
The thick chrome slat that housed the Honda logo is now finished in piano black. This helps in breaking the visual bulk and imparts a sporty character to the front end. Furthermore, it now gets full-led headlamps. On the sides, there’s hardly any change to see. Honda has could’ve used this opportunity to plonk in a better set of alloy wheels. At the rear, the things are as fresh as the front facet. The revised design for the rear bumper and refreshed LED tail lamps add a sense of freshness to the rear face.
On the inside, the Jazz now gets the DIGIPAD 2.0, which is a 7.0-inch touchscreen unit that aids the user with a host of connectivity options, like BlueTooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Weblink. Also, it gets an electronic sunroof, making it the only car in its segment to get one.
The updated Jazz will come loaded with a slew of safety equipment, such as dual-front airbags, rear parking camera with dynamic guidelines, one-touch function for driver side window, immobilizer and more. Furthermore, it will be sold in a total of 5 colour options – Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, and Golden Brown Metallic.
