The Candy White colour shade of the Skoda Kushaq has been snapped while getting tested. It is expected to launch in our market by the middle of 2021.
Recently, Skoda revealed its upcoming SUV in the Indian market named Kushaq. It is the first vehicle under Skoda's India 2.0 investment plans and is expected to go on sale in our market by the middle of this year. During the unveil, the carmaker announced that Kushaq will be offered in five different colour shades namely- Metallic Honey Orange, Metallic Carbon Steel, Tornado Red, Metallic Reflex Silver and Candy White. Unfortunately, the Candy White and Metallic Reflex silver colour shades were kept away from the floors.
Nevertheless, the SUV has been recently spied in Prague in the Candy White paint scheme. The automaker has said that the Metallic Honey Orange and Tornado Red paint shade will only offer in the Indian market. Talking about the test mule spied in Prague, it looks identical to that of the Kushaq showcased in India but with some minor cosmetic changes.
The door-handles finished in chrome have been replaced by body-coloured units on this test mule. Furthermore, it gets different looking alloy units, which misses-out the two-tone finish seen on the India-spec Kushaq. These tweaks also give us a hint that this could be the mid-spec Ambition variant of the car.
As per the carmaker, the SUV will be retailed in three different trim levels namely- Active, Ambition and Style. The SUV will come loaded with all the bells and whistles. It will feature six airbags, TPMS, ISOFIX child-seat mounts and ABS with EBD. In terms of dimensions, the Skoda SUV is 4,221 mm long, 1,760 mm wide, 1,612 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. It gets powered by 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI engines. The former develops 115 PS of power and 175 Nm of torque, while the latter is capable of shredding out power and torque outputs of 150 PS and 250 Nm. In the Indian market, it is expected to be priced between Rs 10-16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Once launched, the all-new Skoda Kushaq will rub shoulders with the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
