The 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross facelift has recently been spotted testing in Pune

Although the thoroughly camouflaged testing model did not reveal much detail about the new vehicle, it did hint some upgrades in terms of the exterior. A brand-new large chrome grille will be positioned between the two LED projector headlights with LED DRLs. The vehicle will ride on the new two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels which are borrowed from the earlier-launched facelifted MU-X. The LED taillights, updated bumper and deck lid which are packed on the MY2018 truck will also be adopted for the D-Max V-Cross.

The 2019 Isuzu D-Max is going to be equipped with a wide range of top-notch interior features

The most considerable improvement of the new-gen D-Max may be the introduction of a brand-new 1.9L diesel motor. This motor is good for a max power of 150PS and a peak torque of 150Nm, 12PS and 30Nm more than the previous 2.5L diesel which is under the hood of the existing D-Max V-Cross. Moreover, besides substitution of the 6-speed MT gearbox for the 5-speed MT one, the transmission duties are going to be undertaken by an optional 6-speed AT unit.

The Japanese automaker is intending to completely replace the 2.5L diesel engine with the new 1.9 diesel unit in India. In fact, the latter has been discarded globally. The new engine is expected to meet new BSVI standards that will take effect here from April next year, which the old engine has not managed to do.
