Jeep Compass Trailhawk Launched At A Price Of Rs 26.8 Lakh

Earlier, we provided you with the Jeep Compass Trailhawk test drive review. The American auto manufacturer has opened the pre-bookings for the off-road SUV since June 12th at 82 FCA dealerships all over the country. Actually, with a price of Rs 26.8 lakh, it is more expensive than the top-spec Jeep Compass Limited Plus 4x4 2.0 diesel by Rs 3.7 lakh. There are quite a few reasons for this price hike.

The first and also the most important reason is the fact that the Trailhawk is a diesel automatic version in the Jeep Compass lineup. Specifically, it is powered by a 2.0-litre Multijet II motor which is good for a maximum power of 173 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The engine is compliant to the BS-VI emission standards, which is also a reason for the price gap. The transmission duties are undertaken by a nine-speed torque converter.

The Trailhawk is a diesel AT version of the Compass lineup.

Another contributory factor to the higher cost is its wide range of more premium off-roading features and equipment. These include Active Drive Low 4x4 system of Jeep with 20:1 crawl ratio, low range, hill-descent control and a new Rock driving mode added to the Selec-Terrain system. Moreover, the ground clearance which rises by 30 mm, the water depth wading depth ability which has been improved by 510 mm, the approach, departure and ramp break-over angles which measure 26.5 degrees, 31.6 degrees and 21.2 degrees also help further enhance the Trailhawk’s off-road capabilities.

The Jeep Compass Trailhawk features a unique design. In terms of the exterior, it features a grille with Matter Grey Surrounds, special 17-inch five-spoke alloy rims, Trailhawk branding and Trail Rated badge. The interior also will not make you disappointed with a long list of top-notch features which consist of a 7-inch MID, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment unit which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, auto temperature control and optional panoramic sunroof, etc.
