Kia Seltos Prices Increased by Rs 35,000

Kia Seltos, which was launched in India in a price range of Rs 9.69 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom), is now costlier by up to Rs 35,000. It's now priced between Rs 9.89 lakh to 17.34 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kia made its local debut last year with the introduction of an all-new mid-size SUV named Seltos, which went on sale in a price range of Rs 9.69 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Recently, the Korean carmaker increased the prices of its maiden SUV by a significant margin. And, with this, the company has announced that all vehicles deliveried from 1st January 2020 will be sold at the revised prices. The manufacturer has hiked the prices of Seltos by Rs 35,000 and now the car is priced between Rs 9.89 lakh to 17.34 lakh (ex-showroom).

It rivals with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Venue

The Kia Seltos is the best-selling SUV in its segment. The car was first launched in India in August last year. It rivals the likes of Hyundai Creta and MG Hector. The Seltos is on sale in three engine varinats - 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit.

The 1.5-litre petrol engine puts out power and torque outputs of 113.4 bhp and 144 Nm. The 1.5-litre diesel unit develops 113.4 bhp of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the 1.4-litre turbo-charged petrol makes 135 bhp and 242 Nm. Transmission duties are done by three different gearbox options, which comprise a 7-speed DCT, CVT and 6-speed manual.
