The Urus pickup model has been imagined to borrow the front design from its SUV brother but comes with a higher ground clearance and knobbed tyres for enhanced off-road capabilities.

10 years ago, not many people could imagine that there would exist a Lamborghini SUV. But today, the Lamborghini Urus is a popular SUV not just in the Italian auto market but in the Indian one as well. While it is unlikely that the Lamborghini Urus pickup version would enter production any time soon, we can still expect that one day, it will be globally launched and then in India. If Lamborghini makes a decision to produce a pick-up truck version of the Urus, the model will be similar to the SUV version as rendered by Rain Prisk.

Just as Jeep manufactured a pickup truck version of its Wrangler SUV with many design cues borrowed from its SUV sibling, Lamborghini is expected to carry the front design of the Urus pick-up truck from the SUV version in the rendering. The second seat row has been removed and transformed into a cargo-storing space, which will decrease the structural rigidity but this problem might be resolved with additional reinforcements.

In comparison to the SUV version, the pickup’s ground clearance has been raised a little bit and the tyres are knobbed to improve the off-road abilities. The cabin is likely to borrow the polishing design with all the top-notch features and technologies from the SUV version.

The Urus SUV is underpinned by the modern MLB Evo platform, which also supports many other SUVs manufactured by the Volkswagen group. Under the hood of the car is a 4.0L bi-turbo V8 petrol motor which can produce a maximum power of 650 PS and a peak torque of 850 Nm. The car is equipped with a four-wheel drive system. The transmission duties are undertaken by an 8-speed AT gearbox.
