Suzuki is all set to introduce new versions of Alto, WagonR and Vitara in the foreign market.

In the Indian market, Maruti Suzuki is offering a wide variant of products. They are also the largest automaker in India. Apart from our country, Suzuki is offering their cars in foreign markets, which are produced in Japan. According to a recent report, Suzuki Japan will soon launch the new-gen models of Alto, WagonR and Vitara. The next-gen models of all these cars are likely to be introduced in the Japanese market by the end of next year. The first car to launch will be Suzuki Alto. The international model of the car is a bit different from the one retailed in India.

The ninth-gen of the car is all set to get unveiled in December 2021. The hatchback will continue to retain its lightweight platform and is expected to be powered by an R06D engine, which is a 658cc unit that produces 48bhp of peak power. Another car which is retailed in the international markets is Maruti WagonR.

This version is different from the one sold internationally. The International-spec WagonR has been around since 2017 and last year, it received an R06D type engine. This model is not expected to launch in India because Maruti introduced the new-gen WagonR in India in 2019. Suzuki is likely to introduce the new-gen WagonR by the end of next year. The third model that the Japanese automaker is planning to launch is Vitara, which is also known as Suzuki Escudo.

Suzuki Vitara got discontinued in our market for a few reasons but is still offered in the international market. The upcoming new-gen Suzuki Vitara will derive power from a 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit with a 48V mild-hybrid system developed by the carmaker itself. It’ll also employ a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor, which will generate more power than the 1.4-litre unit. Apart from all these models, the automaker will also introduce a 5-door version of Jimny in our market. Once launched, it’ll rival with the likes of upcoming Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.
