Maruti's quirky hatchback, the Ignis is a practical and capable offering, especially if you're a millennial. The automaker is now offering considerable discounts to make it even more affordable.

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis was launched in 2016 as a new addition to the automaker’s NEXA premium retail chain's exclusive lineup. The Ignis is targeted towards the young working demographic and millennial generation with its off-beat and quirky design language, which has led to admirers and detractors alike. Most people do not like the rear-end design of the Ignis, finding it bulbous and ungainly. But this also makes the Ignis easily stand out in a crowd, and is a refreshingly bold design, unlike most vehicles which prefer to look plain and unoffending. The hatchback also has really nice callbacks to old Suzukis in its design, the prominent three slashes of the C-pillar is a direct homage to the Suzuki Fronte Coupe from the ‘70s. If you’re in the market for a hatchback under Rs 10 lakh, the Ignis makes an interesting proposition, and currently comes with added discounts as well.

Maruti Suzuki Offers Discounts Upto Rs 39,000 For The Ignis

Currently, the Maruti Ignis is being offered with discounts of up to Rs 39,000. This includes a straight cash discount of Rs 20,000, up to Rs 15,000 bonus discount for exchanging your current vehicle, and a Rs 4,000 corporate discount. The Ignis received a mid-life facelift last year which updated its powertrain to meet BS-VI emission norms, and also brought visual tweaks like a new front grille, bumper, and fog lamp housings. Maruti also added two new colour options while the interior got a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with integrated Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with voice command input. Given that the Ignis is a pretty reasonably priced offering from Maruti in the first place, the added discount gives you even more incentive if you’ve been planning to buy one.
