Maruti S-Presso Seen At Dealership

Maruti Suzuki announced the official launch date of the S-Presso. Maruti S-Presso will be retailed via Arena dealership network.

Maruti S-Presso is the company’s first all-new entry-level model to launch in the past few years. That’s why this new hatchback is meeting with high expectation from both Maruti as well as the car buyers. As confirmed by Maruti, this car will be launched on 30 September 2019. Explained by Maruti, the name S-Presso, which is pronounced 'espresso', embodies the sense of “youthfulness, vitality and energy”, which are the values that Maruti intends to bring to their audiences. Besides the Maruti Brezza, Maruti S-Presso will be the second car to be entirely developed by Maruti Suzuki India. Based on the Future-S Concept that debuted in the 2018 Auto Expo, Maruti S-Presso will employ the Heartect platform used on the Maruti WagonR, Swift and Baleno.

Maruti S-Presso is 3565mm long, 1520mm wide and a 1564mm tall, while the wheelbase of this small car stands at 2380 mm. The S-Presso has a kerb weight of 726 kg, making it the lightest car in Maruti’s range. On the inside, the S-Presso is equipped with a 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The standard safety feature package on the S-Presso includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, high-speed alert system, rear parking sensor, seat belt reminder.

Under the hood, the Maruti S-Presso employs a 1.0-litre petrol engine that can make a maximum power of 68 PS and a peak torque of 90 Nm. From the get-go, the Maruti S-Presso will come with BSVI-ready engine. Either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic gearbox will send the power to the wheels. Maruti S-Presso is expected to be priced at Rs 4 lakh. At this price point, it will compete against the likes of Renault Kwid and Datsun redi-GO. For more updates, visit IndianAuto.com.
