Mercedes-Benz S Class Maestro Edition Launched at Rs 1.51 Crore

Recently, Mercedes-Benz has added a new variant called Maestro Edition to the S Class line-up. The new edition version is priced at Rs 1.51 Crore (ex-showroom). Based on S350d variant, the new S-Class Maestro Edition is the new top-of-the-line S Class in the Indian market. It commands a premium of Rs 13 lakh over the standard S350d. The leap in price can be attributed to the fact that Mercedes Benz Maestro Edition is fitted with a host of new and unique features and technologies. Alexa Home Connectivity

Amazon Alexa speaker is a popular smart device. On the Maestro Edition, you can pair the connectivity system of the car to Amazon Alexa smart speaker, which allows you to perform some tasks remotely. For example, you can lock and unlock your car or operate the climate control system of the car via the smart speaker by saying the familiar command starting with “Alexa.”

Google Home Connectivity

Alexa speaker is not the only smart device that is compatible with the Mercedes Maestro Edition. You can also use other smart devices from Google to perform the same tasks and functions as with Alexa speaker. Unfortunately, Mercedes Maestro Edition has not yet rolled out connectivity support for Apple users. However, expect to see this feature to be introduced soon.

Parking Lot Navigation

The smart function of the Mercedes Maestro Edition will help owners to easily locate the nearest parking lot. Finding parking spots is always a frequent issue for all car owners, especially in big cities. On the newest variant of the Mercedes S Class, the car users are assisted by the Mercedes’ Me connectivity system which shows free parking lots in different cities. These parking lots will be presented on the navigation system. Once you select the desired parking lot, the navigation system will give you the direction guide to get there.

Apart from these smart connectivity features, the Mercedes S Class Maestro Edition also receives some smart functions. For example, the new Magic Sky Control two-panel panoramic sunroof allows you to adjust the transparency level in order to control how much light can enter the cabin. In addition, the S Class Maestro Edition also receives a few cosmetic updates including the optional Nut Brown leather interior and Diamond White exterior colour. These options were earlier available on the Maybach variant only. Moreover, the exterior of the Mercedes Benz S Class Maestro Edition gets an exclusive Anthracite Blue exterior colour.

Under the hood, Mercedes Benz Maestro Edition is powered by the same 3.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 286hp/600Nm. The power is sent to the rear wheels via the 9-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes Benz S Class is currently rivalling against the 7 Series and Audi A8L.
