Now, Tom Gardner, Senior Vice President of Honda Motor Europe has confirmed that the new-gen Jazz will be introduced to the European market with an i-MMD dual-engine hybrid system by 2020.
This system has been used in the CR-V with a 2-litre gasoline motor and two electric units. Nevertheless, the Honda Jazz is likely to be powered by a smaller 1.5-litre 4-cylinder iV-TEC gasoline burner which is paired with a CVT automatic gearbox and combined with an electric motor. This hybrid system is expected to deliver more decent fuel mileage than its ICE counterpart. The upcoming Honda Jazz will be underpinned by an upgraded platform and will come with an electric variant in its lineup.
