Just in five days, Nissan has received 5,000 bookings for the Magnite. It is a positive sign for the Japanese carmaker.
Nissan just launched the new Magnite a few days ago. Before the launch of this model, Nissan is just getting by on one single model which is Nissan Kicks. It could be said that the launch of Nissan Magnite marks the revival of this Japanese car brand in the Indian market. In the beginning, to attract customers, Nissan has offered the new model at an appealing price that undercuts most vehicles in the same segment. Priced from only Rs 4.99 lakh, Nissan Magnite has managed to receive 50,000 inquiries since launch.

At launch, Nissan is offering the Magnite in 20 variants with the top-spec model priced at 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The introductory price is available for bookings made by the end of this year. From the beginning of 2021, it is possible that Nissan will increase the price of this model.

It is also confirmed that over 40 percent of orders are generated via online platforms, indicating that Nissan’s effort in building a comprehensive online platform is bearing fruit. Recently, Nissan is operating an online system with fascinating functions like Virtual showroom, Configurator, and Virtual test drive.
The production version of the Nissan Magnite remains mostly identical to the concept version. On the front end, it continues to sport a sculptured bonnet with the signature octagonal grille, LED headlamps, L-shaped LED DRLs. To increase the muscular styling, Nissan Magnite comes with flared wheel arches and body cladding.

Apart from 20 variants on offer, Nissan also avails an additional Tech pack which increases the options for buyers to choose from. In terms of features, the Nissan Magnite derives power either from a 1.0-litre aspirated petrol engine or a 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit. The former is capable of making 72 BHP of top power and paired to a manual gearbox. On the other hands, the turbocharged engine can put out 100 BHP of maximum power and 150 Nm of peak torque. This engine is claimed to be the first one in the market to adopt the “mirror bore cylinder coating” technology which is used on the sports car Nissan GT-R. Nissan Magnite is now competing in the same place with Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, and Mahindra XUV300.
