100 Units of Nissan Magnite Delivered in Bangalore

With surplus bookings in hand, Nissan has recently delivered 100 units of Nissan Magnite in one day from a Bangalore-based dealership. Read the complete report here.

Almost everyone assumed that the sun was setting down for Nissan in the Indian market. However, all it takes to make the sun rise again is a product that consumers have been waiting for long. With the newly-launched Nissan Magnite, the Japanese carmaker has started to fall back in line. The Magnite has garnered over 32,000 bookings till date. Interestingly, Nissan’s Bangalore-based dealership, Surya Nissan, has recently delivered 100 units of the Magnite in a single day. The dealership organized a mega delivery camp and collectively delivered 100 units of the Nissan Magnite from its facilities in Bangalore, Karnataka.

The Nissan Magnite was welcomed with a warm response in the Indian market. With affordable pricing, sharp styling, feature-loaded trims, and multiple engine-gearbox configurations, the Magnite is managing to score big numbers on the sales chart. Prices for the Magnite start at Rs. 5.49 lakh and go up to Rs. 9.59 lakh. It is offered in a total of 4 variants – XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium.

Powertrain options on the Magnite include a 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.0L turbocharged petrol motor. Both of these engines feature a 3-cylinder layout. While the naturally aspirated motor can develop a peak power output of 72 PS and max torque of 96 Nm, the turbocharged unit can churn out a rated power output of 100 PS and max torque of 160 Nm. The automatic trims of the Magnite come with a CVT gearbox, whereas the manual variants are offered with a 5-speed stick shift unit.

Also, the Magnite comes with a long list of features. It gets a 360-degree parking camera, puddle lamps, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 7-inch TFT display for instrument console, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, keyless entry & go, a push-button start-stop system and more. The safety net on the Magnite comprises of dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle dynamic control, hill-start assist, and traction control. In the Indian market, the Nissan Magnite rivals the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue and Ford EcoSport.
