Nissan Magnite XV Detailed in Walkaround Video, Compared With XV Premium

The Nissan Magnite is probably the Japanese automaker's most successful vehicle launch in India. Today we have this video to check the differences between the Magnite's two middle variants.

Ever since its launch in December 2020, the Nissan Magnite compact SUV has been the talk of the town, offline and online. Somehow, the Japanese automaker had managed to launch the compact SUV at a price of Rs 4.99 lakh. Even though this price was introductory and has increased by Rs 50,000, it still undercuts all of its segment rivals to the tune of a lakh rupees. It has been priced so aggressively that it competes with hatchbacks like the Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 for similarly priced variants. The Magnite already has over 15,000 bookings and just recently Nissan commenced deliveries. Today we’ll take a have this take a look at the differences between the Nissan Magnite XV and XV Premium variants.

As you can see in the video above, we have a Nissan Magnite XV which is a mid-level variant, and we’ll compare it to the XV Premium which sits one notch above it. The Nissan Magnite XV variant is probably the most value-for-money package Nissan offers. It gets upmarket features like LED DRLs and LED fog lamps, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails, and silver accents on the rear and side claddings. On the other hand, the Magnite XV Premium gets more features like LED bi-projector headlights with LED turn indicators, chrome waist moulding and rear-quarter window moulding, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs, and keyless entry and go.

Over to the interior, the Nissan Magnite XV variant gets 60:40 split rear seats, rear centre armrest, rear parking camera, push start/stop, multi-function steering wheel, 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment with integrated Android Auto and Apple Carplay, and you get a 7-inch all-digital instrument console. The Magnite XV Premium additionally gets climate control, the centre console and fabric seats are finished in black with synthetic leather accents for the seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with grey stitching, “Around View Monitor” 360-degree camera system, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and power windows all around. If you are opting for the tech pack you get additional features like a JBL audio system, ambient lighting, puddle lamps, an air purifier, and wireless charging.

For safety, you get features like Vehicle dynamic control, traction control, cruise control, hydraulic brake assist, and hydraulic brake boost that’s only available in the CVT. The new Nissan Magnite will be launched with two powertrain choices, a 1.0 litre 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol which makes 81Ps/96Nm of peak power and torque figures and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The other choice is a 1.0 litre 3-pot turbo-petrol which makes figures of 99Ps/160Nm with the 5-speed manual and 99Ps/152Nm when paired with the CVT auto.
