It has been announced by Ford India today that it will demand 7249 Ecosport vehicles for the update of powertrain control module (PCM) software.

Ford India is inspecting 7249 petrol units of EcoSport which are built in the period from November 2017 to March 2018 to refine the PCM software.
A notification will be sent to customers through a letter or an email. Or they can also surf Ford Indian website to see the service section.

In 2018 July, Ford India also had recalled 5,397 Ford Ecosport vehicles to correct some defective parts.

The company has committed itself to the quality assurance of its cars and the elimination of the slightest chances of unexpected deceleration and drained batteries. These software and car parts renovation actions help to reinforce this commitment.

Most major car brands in India have requested their popular vehicles to return for certain reasons.

In August 2018, while the number of Ford vehicles domestically sold was 8,042 vehicles in comparison with 7,777 units in the same period of the last year, exports rose to 12,606 units against 7,963 units in August 2017. With these renovation actions, it is expected that Ford India will soon overcome the slump with a range of cost-cutting modes.
