2019 Renault Triber was launched recently. It has been receiving positive responses from rural areas.

Renault has recently launched the seven seater Renault Triber. Shortly after its launch, the new model witnesses an increase in demand especially in rural areas. The initial result has helped the car manufacturer to replan its strategy and focus more on the rural base in order to maximize the Triber’s sales volume. The French carmaker is targeting to expand the percent of rural sales from 7 to 30.

2019 Renault Triber achieves a growing customer base in the rural area

It is believed that the main factor contributing to the increasing appeal of the Renault Triber among rural citizens is its competent ability as a people-mover. In addition, Renault points out the design and well-equipped feature package of this model as one thing that attracts customers. Venkatram Mamillapalle, Managing Director of Renault India, emphasized that the Triber can be “the perfect fit for both urban and rural requirements”. He also assures a reasonable price of the Renault Triber for but rural and urban customers.

In order to meet the expectation of customers from both bases, Renault has spent over four years studying the feedbacks of buyers from rural and urban areas as well as doing research and developing the Triber accordingly. With the carefully-studied results, the Renault is confident about the future of the Triber.

Renault is planning to expand its rural customer base in the future

Renault is not the first one to channel their focus to the rural customer base. Before Renault, we have seen the success of the Maruti in establishing strongholds in villages and small towns across India, which has contributed to its overall excellent performance on the national level. Following Maruti’s footstep, Renault also wants to strengthen its customer base in the rural area. Starting with a strong base of 350 touchpoints across the country, Renault is planning to double its retail facilities and about 400 of which will be located in rural areas.

At the moment, Renault Triber was dispatched to dealerships in major cities across the country and it will reach the dealerships in other towns and villages. The Renault Triber 2019 was launched at the starting price of Rs 4.95 lakh. It is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
