Skoda Superb Facelift Bookings Commence in India

Skoda India has started accepting bookings for the Superb facelift, which is scheduled to hit the Indian shores in the coming weeks.

Skoda Auto India displayed a host of new vehicles at the 2020 Auto Expo, including cars like the Vision-IN mid-size SUV concept, Karoq, Octavia RS245 and facelifted version of the Superb. Recent reports suggest that the carmaker has started accepting bookings for the new Superb facelift, and is expected to launch soon in the Indian market. Compared to the ongoing model, the Superb facelift will employ a revised front bumper, wider front grille, sleeker redesigned LED headlights and new fog lamps. The updated model also gets a revised bumper at the back and the Skoda badging is now replaced ‘SKODA’ lettering on the boot lid.

The new model can be booked at a token amount of Rs 50,000

Moreover, the rear fascia of the car now gets LED taillights along with a sporty black lip spoiler. Skoda will also be offering a new set of alloy wheels, which will enhance the overall look of the sedan. Inside, the cabin of the car will be more modern and premium compared than the pre-facelift model. Just like the ongoing Superb, the updated model will continue to feature a two-tone black and beige cabin. The major update inside will be the addition of a larger touchscreen infotainment unit with connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Navigation Assist. Aside from these new features, the new facelifted model will continue to get a fully-digital instrument console, panoramic sunroof, three-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, hands-free parking and a powered tailgate.

The carmaker will offer the updated model only with a petrole engine

The new Superb facelift will be propelled by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre turbocharged TSI petrol mill, which puts out 187 PS of power output. Like the pre-facelift version, the updated model will not be offered with the 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. One can book the upcoming Skoda Superb facelift at a token amount of Rs 50,000. Furthermore, the sedan will also be offered in seven different colour shade options.
