Tata Motors Opens Booking For Tata Altroz, New Teaser Dropped

Tata Altroz is one of the highly-anticipated new cars to launch next year. Situated in the premium hatchback segment, the Tata Altroz will come against the likes of Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and Toyota Glanza. Before the official launch, the Tata Altroz was fully revealed for media outlets. Currently, Tata has released a new teaser for the Altroz. Booking for the Tata Altroz is now available.

The video teaser shows off some highlight features of the upcoming hatchback. In the beginning, the car quickly propels toward after the push-button start is activated. The following scene lends us a quick glance of the interior design with the smart interface of the semi-digital instrument cluster. The teaser also captures the moving Tata Altroz with a close-up shot of the front grille with sleek headlight, diamond-cut alloy wheels and the rear-end boot lid.

Booking is now available at the advanced payment of Rs 21,000. Interested buyers can send a request via Tata’s official website or at Tata’s dealerships. Online booking will entail some benefits like priority test drive and delivery. The delivery of the Altroz will be commenced in January, after the launch.

Tata Altroz will come in five variants and five colour options

Tata Motors has revealed the variant list and the colour options of the Tata Altroz. There will be five variants, including XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ(O). Five colour options include Avenue white, Downtown Red, High-Street Gold, Midtown Grey and Skyline Silver.

About the engine, the Tata Altroz will come with two BSVI-compliant engine offerings, 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former engine is capable of making a top power of 86 Ps and peak torque of 113 Nm while the latter is good for 90 PS of power and 200 Nm. Both engines will be mated to manual gearbox only. A new twin-clutch automatic gearbox is under development, expected to be offered in the Altroz by the end of 2020.

One thing about the Altroz is still kept under the wrap is its pricing. However, given that most vehicles in Tata line-up follow the competitive pricing strategy, it is likely that it will do the same with the Altroz.
