Virat Kohli’s Brother Becomes Proud Owner of Porsche Panamera Turbo

Indian skipper Virat Kohli knows his cars and there have been gazillion sightings of the cricket maestro taking his rather enviable sets of wheels out for a spin. Today, however, our focus is on Virat's brother, Vikas Kohli. While most have postponed their car buying decisions owing to the ongoing unfavourable situation that has gripped the entire country, nay, the complete globe, Vikas has just taken the delivery of his brand spanking new Porsche Panamera Turbo. 

It's only on Friday that the local subsidiary of the renowned German automaker resumed operations in the country and Vikas has become one of the first to receive a brand new Porsche amidst 'Lockdown 4.0'. The delivery process was carried out at the Porsche Centre Delhi-NCR. The Panamera Turbo has a base price of Rs 2.13 crore (ex-showroom), minus any add-ons from a rather exhaustive list of official accessories that's on offer. Powering the swanky four-door super-sedan is a high-strung 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that outputs a maximum of 550 hp at 5,750 rpm.

Compared to its earlier iteration, the current Porsche Panamera Turbo offers a boost of 30 HP. Moreover, it's also a tad more efficient and a tad friendlier to the nature. It can sprint from nought to 100 kmph in a supercar-rivalling 3.8 seconds and has an electronically-nannied top speed of 303 kmph. Helping the driver put a leash on all that power are several electronic aids, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Change Assist with Turn Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Park Assist, Surround View Camera and Forward Collision Warning. Night Vision and Automatic Parking Assistance are optional extras.

Other goodies on offer include signature quad-LED headlights, panoramic sunroof, 12-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, twin 10-inch removable entertainment units at rear, 14-way-adjustable electric seats, heated seats at front and rear, all-seat massage functionality (optional) and internet connectivity through WLAN router of Connected Plus module.

Meanwhile, the car collection of Virat Kohli includes a long list of highly capable models, including Audi R8 LMX, Audi R8 V10 Plus, Audi Q8, Audi Q7, Audi S6, Range Rover Vogue SE, and a Bentley Continental GT.
