With a vision to become a CO2-neutral automotive company by 2050, the VW Tiguan eHybrid SUV will be a key element on the ways towards the milestone. Visually, the VW Tiguan eHybrid looks identical to the regular model. Since the ICE powered version of the Tiguan just received a facelift earlier this year, the eHybrid version carries on using the similar design philosophy. When compared to the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace in India, the international-spec Tiguan eHybrid looks much sleeker and sportier thanks to sleeker LED headlamps and refreshed bumpers. The Tiguan eHybrid is being offered with three equipment packs, namely Life, Elegance and R-Line. The set of 17-inch alloy wheels looks stylish, combined with the body cladding and roof rails that enhances the SUV-ish appeal of the car.

On the inside, the VW Tiguan eHybrid gets a similar interior layout compared with that of the regular sibling. It is loaded to the gills with premium features, be it a VW car. Some major feature highlights in the Tiguan eHybrid include a large touchscreen infotainment system available with all sorts of connectivity, a digital cockpit, a three-zone automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, leather multi-function steering with paddles shifters, rain sensors, front and rear parking distance assist among many others.

Under the hood of the Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid lies a 1.4-litre TSI engine that comes paired with an electric motor. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed DCT gearbox unit. The combined power output stands at 241 horsepower. In particular, the Tiguan eHybrid also offers a special GTE mode that boosts the max torque output of the car to 400 Nm. The hybrid SUV can cover a distance of 50 km on single electric mode.

The electric motor of the Tiguan eHybrid is fed by a 13 kWh battery that can be charged by both DC and AC charger. It's worth mentioning that the plug-in hybrid has been programmed so that you can start the car in pure electric mode every time if the batteries have been sufficiently charged.
