According to the recent NCAP test results, we can work out the list of three cars achieving the highest scores that you can buy under Rs 10 lakh.

As far as we know, around 70% of the Indians do not consider the matter of safety when buying a vehicle (according to a Twitter poll in 22,000 respondents). Honestly, our attention to vehicles’ safety features is extremely low. The major concern of Indian buyers is given on the price, design, mileage and driving performance rather than the sense of safety. However, it is now raising to some extent thanks to many campaigns from highly acclaimed Indian manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Ford and various advanced features to be equipped.

1. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

The compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki which has been a well-received model of its products lineup stands on the top of the safest car list. The Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP) gives an impressing 4-star rating for the Vitara Brezza in the latest series of crash tests. The results were announced in public during the Global NCAP World Congress held in Delhi in September 2018.
