Last year, Mahindra & Mahindra launched the new-gen Thar in the Indian market. The all-new Mahindra off-roader quickly became popular among the buyers and till date, it has managed to garner around 39,000 bookings. Like the first-gen model, the 2020 Mahindra Thar has also got quite popular among enthusiasts around India. Here are a few images of one such new-gen Mahindra Thar, which looks quite unique.

This Mahindra off-roader is owned by popular YouTuber Sahibnoor Singh. His second-gen Thar gets a full-body wrap in purple colour with matt finish. This wrap job has been done by Wrapaholix. It also features a new grille up front with seven slats. The SUV features additional cladding on the front bumper and black appliques on the taillight. Moreover, it also gets aftermarket LED headlights along with Inforged IFG39 18-inch alloy units. These machine-cut alloy wheels look quite striking and have enhanced the overall stance of the SUV. According to the owner, he didn’t opt from bigger wheels as he wants to preserve the off-road capabilities of the SUV. This is the particular hard-top version of the car, which employs a foxed hard-top. A buyer has an option to choose between soft-top or convertible soft-top.

Mechanically, the new-gen Mahindra Thar gets propelled by 2.0-litre gasoline and 2.2-litre diesel mill. The former churns out 150bhp of peak power and 300 Nm of torque, while the latter develops 130 PS and 300 Nm of torque. The engine comes coupled to a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Inside, it comes loaded with features like a touchscreen infotainment unit with latest connectivity features, a semi-digital instrument console, keyless entry, steering mounted controls, cruise control, roof-mounted speaker, 12-volt accessory socket and much more. In the Indian market, the 2020 Mahindra Thar is offered in two different trim levels namely- AX and LX. It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 14.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-end variant.
