[Celebrity Car collection] Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's car collection

After the engagement between Bollywood’s leading lady Priyanka Chopra and singer-actor Nick Jonas was announced in August this year, the buzz has not been over. Paparazzi follow them everywhere to see what they wear and do on dates. But none of that interests us car-lovers as much as a quick look into their enviable car collections.

1. PRIYANKA CHOPRA

1.1. Rolls-Royce Ghost

Priyanka Chopra is the first actress in Bollywood to own a car from this luxury make. She has customised her Rolls-Royce Ghost, reportedly adding a fantastic music system and a huge storage capacity in the car. This multi-crore vehicle is powered by a 6.6L twin-turbo v12 engine that cranks out 563 horsepower, with an 8-speed transmission system. It can accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds from a standstill position.

Even though Chopra spends most of the time in the U.S. nowadays, her Rolls-Royce is always ready for her whenever she is in Mumbai. She has also been seen travelling to high-profile events in the luxury car.

1.2. Mercedes S-Class

Mercedes-Benz W221 is a very common luxury car in Bollywood because almost every star who can afford it has one. To make sure her car stand out, Chopra chose a white sedan with a blacked-out roof which gives the last generation Benz S-Class a sporty touch. However, the car does not seem to be well-loved as the Bollywood leading lady is not seen around in it much.

1.3. BMW 5 Series

Priyanka Chopra’s BMW 5 Series is the vehicle that she and Nick used to travel around when the two visited India not long ago. This is the first trip to India of Chopra and Nick Jonas as a couple, and, coincidentally, the first trip of this car as well, because it was not seen with Chopra before. In India, BMW 5 Series is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol versions are powered by a 2.0-litre engine. The diesel engines take their power from either a 2.0-litre diesel engine or a 3.0-litre diesel engine.  The cheapest variant of BMW 5 Series is priced at 52 lakhs, ex-showroom.

1.4. Audi Q7

While the Rolls-Royce Ghost is the Mumbai-only car, the Audi Q7 is the vehicle that Priyanka Chopra loves to use during her long stay in Los Angeles. The second-generation Q7 is among the highest selling models in its category in India and is quite popular in the U.S. too. Just like the Mercedes-Benz W221, the second-generation Audi Q7 is a common sight in Bollywood and many celebrities have one.

2. NICK JONAS

2.1. 1968 Ford Mustang

Nick Jonas loves old cars and there are quite a few of them in his collection. 1968 Ford Mustang is an iconic American automobile and a classic muscle car. It has been featured in many Hollywood films and American music videos, which makes it extremely popular and noticeable in the U.S. and worldwide.

1968 Ford Mustang has a v8 engine that is available with eight different versions. The smallest engine cranks out 290 horsepower and the largest 360 horsepower.

2.2. 1960 Ford Thunderbird

Another oldie but goodie in Nick Jonas’s collection is the 1960 Ford Thunderbird. Though he was not present during the 60s, he knows that the 1960s muscle cars are top-notched. This is also one of his most favourites as he is usually seen driving around Monte Carlo in this red convertible. With several vintage cars in his collection, it seems like Nick Jonas has a good knowledge and liking towards them.

2.4. Chevrolet Camaro

The first modern muscle car in his collection is the 5th generation Chevrolet Camaro SS. Nick Jonas’s Chevy is an upgraded version with a stronger engine, as shown by the white and black on the bumper. It has a 5.9L turbo v8 engine that delivers the maximum power of 425 horsepower and 570Nm. In addition to a gutsy engine and sheet metal, this modern muscle car has excellent handling and smooth steering.

2.5. Fisker Karma

The most eye-catching and perhaps the highlight in Nick Jonas’s garage is the Fisker Karma. This is an extremely rare sports sedan and with scarcity comes a hefty price tag. The Fisker has a base sticker price of about 1 crore (excluding tax) in the U.S.! The Karma’s sleek design makes it a very original car and a common sight in Hollywood movies such as Two And A Half Men or Paranoia starring Liam Hemsworth.
