First 2020 Mahindra Thar With White Paint Job - VIDEO

Mahindra launched the all-new Thar this year and it has met with an overwhelming response since its first day on sale. Currently, there are over 20,000 bookings already and delivery periods have stretched till May 2021. The Indian UV brand is also ramping up production 50% from January 2021 to meet the high demand. The old Mahindra Thar has attained legendary status among the off-roading community and has a thriving aftermarket tuning and modifying scene. The new Thar aims to be just as good as the old one when it comes to going on to the unknown, as well as adding much improved on-road manner that its predecessor could only dream of. We came across this new Thar today which has got a new paint job to stand out. 

The video has been uploaded by Neelesh Bajaj over on YouTube, in which we can see this brand-new Mahindra Thar getting a white paint job courtesy House of Polish. Currently, white is not one of the seven colours Mahindra is giving you as an option to spec your Thar in. Aside from the paint, the owner also has replaced the stock headlights with full LED units.  The vehicle is from Haryana and overall, the white colour gives the Thar a more diplomat attitude while not losing any of its off-road centric styling and character.

Mahindra itself is also offering several accessories for the new Thar. The Mahindra Genuine accessories for the all-new Thar come in 4 different categories – Styling, Comfort & Convenience, Technology and Safety. Few of the accessories include claddings, chrome kit, body decal, alloys, front DRLs and fog lamps, seat cover, steering cover, floor mats, magnetic sunshade, vibe speaker upgrade, amplifier & subwoofer, pioneer audio system, body covers, scuff plates, remote lock key and others. 

Prices for the 2020 Mahindra Thar start from Rs 9.80 lakh and go up to Rs 13.75 lakh. You can choose between 2 engine options, a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel, and a 2-litre turbo-petrol. The oil-burner makes 130 PS/320 Nm of peak power and torque figures while the petrol makes 150 PS/320 Nm of max power and torque. You get two transmission options for both the powertrains, A 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed automatic. The new-gen Thar also comes with a low-range gearbox and a transfer case along with a mechanically-locking rear differential, which should make it just as good as its beloved predecessor off-road.
